Religious

The Martyrs of the seventeenth century held the grand Protestant doctrine of the perfection and supreme authority of the Holy Scriptures, and claimed a right to read, and think, and believe, for themselves. They embraced the system of doctrine usually known in this country by the name Calvinistic; but which we would rather call apostolical, or evangelical, for they called no man master, and would submit their consciences in this matter to no authority, excepting that of God speaking in the Scriptures.

In the Western world we are accustomed to associate the ideas of sacerdotalism, hierarchy and dogma, mainly because they are united in the greatest religious organization familiar to us, the Roman Catholic Church. But the combination is not necessary. Hinduism is intensely sacerdotal but neither hierarchical nor dogmatic, Islam is dogmatic but neither sacerdotal nor hierarchical, Buddhism is dogmatic and also somewhat hierarchical, since it has to deal with bodies of men collected in monasteries where discipline is necessary, but except in its most corrupt forms it is not sacerdotal.

Since the personal collections of Silver Judaica has long been so highly desirable to a good number of private silver collectors, there are world renowned Auction houses such as Sotheby's, that are dedicated solely to the antique silver Judaica collections. With out a hitch, the Sotheby's auction catalog of 'Judaica Silver', and the Skinner auction catalog known as the 'Fine Judaica and Silver' are fully recognized and dedicated to the auctions of the most distinctly unique silver Judaica pieces still able to move around for public and private collections.

The church of Scientology fervently claims that it is a persecuted religion, that the criticism of Scientology from the private, corporate and governmental sectors constitutes prejudice and an attack on the individuals right to religious freedom. The church of Scientology also claims that this "persecution" reflects the inherent bigotry of the organisations opponents. As a critic of the church of Scientology, I'd like to point out that I don't care what you choose to put your faith in.

Sometimes, a divine intervention pulls up next to your steaming, smashed up car on the rain-slicked roads in Hollywood, wearing penguin-colored habits, looking down at you with compassionate eyes. "We have been praying for you to accept Jesus," the nuns say. This is the story of Natalie Cole, who was in the steely grips of a drug addiction at the time of the crash and who credits this brief intervention with saving her life.

I have been meditating for about nine months seriously and during my meditations, realize that I have been meditating my whole life. I can see things a little clearer than I could even one year ago. The Holy Bible, Koran and other religious scriptures seem to make a little more sense to me, the more that I meditate. I recommend meditation to anyone interested in relaxing, sorting out your life and even as an exercise to increase your intuitive spiritual thinking.

The title indicates that Bishop Spong intends to present a Jesus free of traditional mythology that modern readers can believe in; but two-thirds of the book is a very thorough examination of how the gospel accounts present interpretations shaped by the Hebrew Scriptures rather than historical veracity. In my opinion, the positive ending is pallid and unconvincing, even though it expresses opinions that are Bishop Spong's sincerely held personal beliefs.

When Jesus looks at a man and when he moves around and among men, and when He sees a faith that is real and deep and which has that desire and longing to grow and mature, Jesus will be prepared to share and reveal many things to that man. There was a man in Jerusalem who wanted to go further and he is called Nicodemus. He wanted what Jesus could give. He had a thirst for that which was spiritually real. He would have had everything all neatly worked out and then Jesus Christ came along.

In the State of Orissa, India, is the Konark Sun Temple also known as the Black Pagoda from its dark colour seen from a distance. The temple is considered to be one among the wonders in India due to its architectural and engineering stand, making it one of the finest religious places in India. Konark is a town in Puri district of the state of Orissa, India, on the Bay of Bengal, sixty-five kilometres from the capital city of Orissa, Bhubaneswar.

The Bible does define faith, but faith must be accompanied by actions and obedience. Faith without obedience doesn't save. These are the results and findings of my reading and study of the letter to the Hebrews and they were really the first Messianic Jews and today more and more Jewish people are coming to see that Jesus Christ was and is the promised Messiah. We cannot put our living God in a box, and limit Him to that box. He will not be limited.
